I'm NOT dead!

Seems like everybody is getting sick nowadays, me included.

Had JPA interview today!

It was pretty normal, 5 people in a room, three interviewers.
We sat down in a semicircle facing the interviewers. One of the interviewers was a doctor! His name was Dr. Ravi something.

First we had to introduce ourselves and talk about the course we plan to take. I messed up in that part.

Interviewer: So where do you plan to study?
Angeline: Um, Australia.
Interviewer: Where in Australia?
Angeline: Sydney.
Interviewer: Why not Melbourne?
Angeline: (Says some random crap, I cant even remember it now)
Interviewer: Well, Melbourne is known as one of the best places to study veterinary medicine, so why not Melbourne?
Angeline: *Pause* Oh.
Interviewer: *Smiles nastily cause he managed to shoot me*

Argh. So malu. WHY DIDN'T I SAY MELBOURNE? WHY??

Then we had a group discussion about drugs and how it was a threat to national stability.
Pretty boring stuff.

Thank You, God.

=D I got straight A's. I know it isn't as great as some of you, but I'm still happy nonetheless.

Today was a really really tiring day. I arrived at school at 9 AM and waited. And waited. And waited.

FOR 2 AND A HALF HOURS.

Sheesh. That's Malaysian time for you.

And when we saw the teachers entering the hall, everyone started screaming. Me? I think I chewed my nails to stubs.

After we got our results, (lots of hugging and crying and whooping, but I'm not gonna go into detail), a group of us decided to go to Pyramid.

Group Pic!

We had lunch at Waffle World. Then, we went to watch a movie. The Reader.

Min Shen and Yih Shan

Li Za and Ann Ee

The movie was really deep. Half the time, I as like "Huh? What?" cause I didn't understand why they were showing that scene. SiOn really enjoyed the movie. He was basically dissecting the movie as we watch. There was one part when he said "The shoes signify Death." SPOILER! And true enough, she killed herself.

They censored a lot of sex scenes too. Despite the movie being 18PL.

Fun, tiring day. =D

First attempt using timer on camera!

Emo-ey.

I'm worried about my SPM results. =( But it's too late to do anything about it now, right? My situation kinda reminds me about a joke I heard once.

One day, a man prayed to God, asking that he would win the lottery.

He prayed every single day. However, he never won the lottery.

A few months later, God became really fustrated and yelled at the man, "Will you please buy a lottery ticket??"

I think I'm like the old man, aren't I? I hope so much that I would get good results, but I never do anything about it. When it comes to studying, I'm so horribly, dreadfully LAZY.

I guess this is a way to get rid of some of my guilt. Ranting it all out this way.

Sigh.

Too late now. Here goes nothing. =(

P/S: Good luck to the others who are gonna get their SPM results in 9 hours too. I'm sure you'll do well. Don't gloat in front of me too much kay? I might punch you or something.

P/P/S: I PROMISE to update about the KLCC trip soon. Lots and lots of pictures.

Sam Fest PLUS Shaun Chow's Birthday

Updating on events that happened this week.
First up, SAM FIESTA!

Initially, I decided not to go cause its was gonna start at 6pm and end at 10.30pm. Which means missing my regular afternoon nap.

But I changed my mind the night before and decided not to be so antisocial. Unlike some people. *cough*Qian Xin*cough*.

So after class, (Thursday class ends at 2pm), 3 cars bearing 14 G10 students went to pyramid. We decided to watch 'Street Fighters: The Legend Of Chun-Li'. The movie was not bad, and I agree with Angelina who said, "Its not my type of movie."

The driver: Gabriel.
In the same car: Josephine and Yih Ming
Geraldine too.
I was sitting in the front. =D

After the movie, we went bowling. Or rather, the guys went bowling. The girls just sat down and cheered. We laughed more often though. The guys are amazingly good at getting gutter balls. Haha.

Meet the class divas, Dhanya and Amirah
From left: Yih Ming, Kash, Eric, Timothy,Hardev, Sam and Gabriel.
Sam, Kash and Eric trying to work the scoreboard thingy out.

When we reached Taylor's College, I realized that I had miscalculated. Badly.
Everywhere I look, I see girls all dressed up for a night out. Me, being a stupid girl I am, took the dress code (casual) seriously and turned up in what I wore for the whole day, a freaking t-shirt! My face was oily from sweat and I bet I did not smell like roses by then.

Note to self: Never under dress for college events.
SMSU-ians! Ann Ee, Me, Yih Ming and Nicholas.Group picture!
Timothy plus food.

I'm too lazy to upload more pictures, so go visit Angelina's and Stephanie's blogs if you want more pics kay.

The event itself was okay, loud bass-ish bands, disco lights, lots of people dancing, food and a magician. Your basic SAM fest. =D I couldnt get the music out of my head till 2 days afterwards.

On the next day, we celebrated Shaun Chow's Birthday.
It is actually on March 5th, but for some unknown reason, we celebrated it a day later.

You can recognize him from the way he drools when he sleeps during class.
Fast asleep.

He is usually last in for class, the first to argue with the lecturers, the one who is most likely to make the class laugh and my lab partner. =D

We had a 'surprise' party for him during ESL, but I don't think he was pretty surprised. No change in expression when Hardev brought in the cake. I think he already knew.

Cutting the cake.
Chocolate Cheesecake. You can stop licking the screen now.

Okay, finally done! Long post and another longer one coming up. Have a nice weekend, folks!

Alcholics.

Today, we had an experiment on the distillation of ethanol.

=D I am a proud producer of ethanol.

I shall now bring you a step-by-step guide on how to produce ethanol.

Step 1: Ferment Orange Juice for a week.
OJ and maggoty goodness.

Step 2: Filter the fermented juice.
Filter. Filter.

Angelina busy filtering.

Step 3: Set up the distillation apparatus.
Distillation apparatus. Remember: Water flow = anti-gravity.

Step 4: Start heating the OJ. Ethanol will be produced at temperatures between 78 -100 degrees celcius.

Heating up.

Step 5: While waiting for OJ to reach desired temperature, it is essential to take pictures.

Kashvina plus Angelina. Hehe. It RHYMES.

Mrs Tan, Geraldine and Charles. Charles is all blurry cause he moved.

People busy at work. Yes, thats me holding my nose cause ethanol STINKS.

Step 6: Ethanol is produced!

Ethanol filtering out. Sorry. Despite my many attempts, the picture remains blurry.

Ethanol with a touch of OJ.

Hardev is eager to get drunk.

Busy Busy Busy!

When Biology turns into Art.

I have so much to update about! The lunch at Face2Face and the trip to KLCC for Malaysian Studies.

Neways, guess what I spent my ENTIRE SUNDAY doing?

Can't guess?

I. Was. Reading.

For the whole day! When I have a Biology essay proposal to prepare, Chemistry sources to search for and a Chemistry test to study for. Not to mention 16 pages of note-taking for ESL to complete. To top that off, A Malaysian Studies essay and a group assignment, A cover for Winangali (SAM Yearbook), A movie to edit aaaaand wash my shoes.

And the guilty book is....*Drumroll*

Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon.

OF COURSE the book is guilty, not ME.

Good book, it's a thriller novel, full of suspense from the beginning. Lots of courtroom drama. I dislike courtroom dramas. But in this book, I love it. The thing is, you can see how the main character changes. Lots of plot twists that will leave you frantically turning the page. His writing style will make you feel as if you're right there watching the whole thing. The bad part? It has an unhappy ending. =(

Suffice to say, this is my first Sidney Sheldon book, and it will definitely not be my last.

READ IT.

Now that I have finished gushing, have a nice day, peeps. Or rather, what is left of it.

P/S: Dear God, if you grant me straight A's for SPM, I will dutifully eat my vegetables every night from now on. *Fingers crossed*
